Communication is the key ingredient in an organization’s success. Most salespersons are good in smooth talking the customers, but when you ask them to write a killer proposal, they often falter. Their writing skills are terrible, and many a winning proposals miss out because of the way it is prepared, communicated or presented lacks clarity & confidence.
So the customer, when begins to read the proposal or email, finds it in stark contrast to the words that were used to promise the moon, leaving a bitter after taste to the conversation.
Improving the communication skills of the workforce should be the paramount responsibility of the organization’s leadership.
After all, such soft skills are often left out of the academic world. They usually focus more on technical, hard subjects. So while staff may be expert engineers or technical experts, they are not able to convince and convey the correct message to the client.
Therefore, we are often approached by company HR, Learning & Development Teams, and even the senior leadership & management teams, to find ways to improve the communication and presentation skills of their teams.
Most of the HR and leadership come with the similar problems. Their staff have been working for many years with the company, and a certain mindset becomes very conventional. They begin to operate from a state of comfort level.
Therefore, HR wants a training program that will trigger creative ways of solving problems or identifying opportunities and thinking out of the box. They would also like to encourage their staff to find fresh perspectives and come up with innovative solutions rather than the monkey see, monkey do approach.
I would think that the most important thing is to change and address their mindset about the way they are doing things, which might be relevant now but might not be relevant in future.
According to the World Economic Forum Report, the Top 10 Skills in today context to 2025 are complex problem solving and creativity. These skills are ranked as the top 3rd and 5th skills by the world economic forum.
There is a big void in the industry in terms of such key skills. At Intellisoft Training, we are creating  short, concise training programs that can help propel the front and backend staff to improve their written, verbal and non-verbal skills, improve their communication & presentation skills. This will help them to become better at creating thinking, and take them to the next level.
To make it even better, we have added an action plan towards the end of each training, so that participants can see that developing better communication & presentation skills is a journey.
They need to take small, but continuous steps to improve themselves and build better confidence.
We look forward to companies in sending their employees, both sales & marketing, finance & IT, Front end & Backend, management & staff, admin or executive for these useful and practical training programs.
With WSQ Grants, SFEC Funding, Absentee Payroll, and SkillsFuture Credits, companies & individuals tend to gain more than they invest in the training. They get almost fully funded courses, and the entire team that get trained are able to perform better, helping the companies better, and boosting their morale and self esteem in the process.Â
It is the best option to send employees and management for skills upgrading before it is too late, and other neighboring countries and companies take the lead and leapfrog us.
Take action today! Request a Course Brochure, and ask for a meeting with our Learning & Development Consultants.
